Does Anybody Use Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool

Every month and to check downloads(using custom scan to downloaded folder) as a 3rd opinion, after Malwarebytes and Defender.

Yes, that is basically when I use it. It is part of my routine, my shtick if you will. I have never seen any results, and that is why I was asking everybody else.

I'm like you in that I run it as part of my routine - I have never seen any results either, but of course Malwarebytes and HitmanPro may take care of that so there are no results.

Actually it runs automatically in the background on the reboot after it's been updated. Ever notice that it takes a little while longer after the desktop shows before you can do anything after the patch Tuesday updates?
After Windows downloads the newest version of the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal tool, it will automatically run it in the background. This tool checks for specific, widespread types of malware and removes them if it finds them. If everything is fine, Windows will run the tool silently in the background without bothering you. If it finds a infection and fixes it, the tool will display a report telling you which malicious software was detected and will be removed after you restart your computer.
