Does anyone use the AeroLite theme around here?

I think this one drives high contrast and it's the one customizable through the registry.

I loved aero in the RP of windows 8, if it wasn't for the timebomb embeded in it I'd still be using it just for the fact its looks so great. Windows 7 aero was very distracting because of the stripes in its aero and I didn't really care for it. I remember once I even added the RP aero to windows 7 just so it looked better. But as for now there really isn't any true aero transparency for the RTM. Hopefully in the future someone will come up with a way to put the RP aero in the RTM. That would make me very happy. I hate not having transparency as an option.

I don't understand why it's so important to have Areo, are those peoples just sitting on front of their PCs looking at the desktop, or do they do something with their PCs ?

25 pages on this subject

It is quite redundant, I do alot on windows 8, but I like it to look good while getting things done. I'm sad its gone and think it should be left up to the people to have the choice. But not having aero isn't going to stop me altogether from using 8, I can get past that and focus more on improvements in hardware and software support as well as system response times.

Stupid decision to remove Aero its left Win 8 looking like the ugly duckling , at least give us the option I may switch back to Win 7 or go with Linux or a Mac after 2 days using Win 8 I'm left wondering why I bothered apart from saving several seconds when booting into Win 8 I haven't seen any performance gains over Win 7.
