Let's start with I'm a complete noob, but I'm smart and I know how to Google stuff...

I've tried SO many threads and techniques to fix this, but I'm unable to, this has been a VERY deep rabbit hole I've traversed and can't find my way back out.

Let's start at the beginning...

I stopped auto installing updates because I had issues with doing so in the past, so my windows updates stacked up for a bit. (I know, I suck!)

I started installing them all last month and found 4 that would not install, a couple of them seem to be serious and my friend recommend I get them fixed.

I've run sfc /scannow it NOW shows no validation errors. But there were errors the first time.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

I've run dism and it tells me the store is repairable
C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

I've run /startcomponentcleanup

I've run DISM and it tells me it can't find the source,
C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

onent store cannot be repaired.

I've run the /source option with my local 8.1 installation disk and it tells me the same thing

urces\install.wim:1 /LimitAccess

After researching this, I found all these issues around KB3022345, so I attempted to uninstall it... it came back with another error saying it couldn't complete the process. After this failure my entire machine runs REALLY slowly, I've since put the diag tracker on manual, I've not rebooted yet since then, but I believe that slowness should be better. I also did a clean startup and tried all the above steps and got the same results again.

I've tried this as well to uninstall with cmd...

I REALLY cannot reinstall everything on this computer, so please don't suggest that, I really need to just

1. fix this dism store error... BTW, after attempting to uninstall KB3022345 I'm now getting a LITTLE different failures with DISM then before, but the result is the same.
2. remove this KB and get that damn tracker completely shut down
3. install the missing updates

I'm going to reboot again and if everything remains really slow, I'm going to roll back to yesterday before I tried to remove that KB. But I cannot roll back far enough to get back to April 22nd when it was installed.

Sorry for the LONG posting, I've tried SO much more but that's the highlights, hope you all can help.

These are the 4 updates that I cannot install...
Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3000850)
Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2976978)
Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3038936)
Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3013816)

I'm running 8.1 on an AMD A10 6800k

Thanks so much for your time!

Those 4 files where Flagged as Corrupt by SFC - this is Fasle result - but a normal result from SFC

I don't believe I ran SFC, that was from steps 1-6 unless SFC is part of your scripting...

When I do run scannow, it tells me there are no issues.

That "normal" result is causing my 4 updates to fail to install, and also preventing me from removing KB3022345 from my computer... any ideas how to remove it and fix this error?

amd64_microsoft-windows-u..ed-telemetry-client_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17842_none_90da81a4dac50d54

when searching for that directory - I only find

"C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-u..ed-telemetry-client_31bf3856ad364e35_6.3.9600.17962_none_90c4e3b2dad5425d"

This is the part where I'm a total noob, I have no idea what you last post means... here is the screenshot of my search on my computer...
Screenshot by Lightshot

Is this the mismatch? Where did that folder come from and is it part of that KB that everyone seems to be having issues with?

what it means is I do not have the directory - that your PC - has found corrupt files in...

So, it would appear that I have received an update (thus file version in bold) that your PC has not..

Otherwise I could have uploaded the files to you.

Yeah, from my googling I found that the KB that i reported in the OP has been replaced a few times and the recommend process was to remove the update and install a newer one or remove it altogether as it was an optional update... I've been unable to figure out how to get my computer to remove that update... any ideas on that?
