Disk usage spikes when nothing is running

Looks like your only recourse is to make sure that your bios is up to date and do a clean install. Back up your data first.

that's what i think .. but if it is an hardware issue the problem will continue.. I'll do a clean install on june 25th since i have a lot of work and backups to do.. I'll tell you the results. Thnks ;)

What are your power options set to, balanced, high performance or what?

In Task Manager/Performance please post a screen shot of the C disk and Memory.

Still in Task Manager/Performance, click Resource Monitor and see what is going on there when it spikes.

In Resource Monitor, once you select the Disk tab, the top window will tell you what processes are using the disk activity, and the bottom window will tell you what file it is.

And while you are analyzing your Disk usage,
do a run-down of which network-links are coming over your WiFi network.
As it seems that your Disk-spikes are corresponding to your Network activity.
check the ip adresses with http: // db-ip.com

Are there any utilities that monitor any and all deletions [regardless of who or what caused]? What about Indexing? I have learned to vastly trim what Indexing does and to trim what folders my Resplendence's Undeluxe watches.
