disable moving the desktop

hi guys
as you know when we move the mouse on the top of the windows in desktop , the mouse changes to a hand and we can move the desktop.
how can i disable this option?

when you are in desktop , move your mouse to the top of your monitor and you will see the mouse will change to a hand and by keep the left key of mouse down we can move the desktop

I am not sure why MS would have such a "feature." It doesn't seem to lead to anything significant. I think I'd just live with it. It's not an issue unless you can't resist moving the desktop.

I see. Since I installed Win8 on an older machine, Snap doesn't work for me. It sounds like a useful feature. What happens on my machine is that if I pull the desktop to the side, then, upon release, it just expands and goes back where it started. I knew that there was such a thing as Snap, but I never checked to see what it is. The upgrade adviser told me that Snap wouldn't work. Interestingly, it also told me that Win8 could not be installed on my machine. Only a few things apparently don't work. I forget what the others are now except for Snap and the new style BIOS.

I don't think there is a known way to do so. Btw, with this feature you can also close metro apps ...
