Directx 12

WOW, guess most games will skip DirectX11 go straight to DirectX12. Most of the games I play are not EVEN DirectX11 possible, lol..

I think that allot off people don't even play any games with DX11 support, I am still playing old school games there is nothing out these days that grabs my attention as regard to gaming its just all about graphics, graphics and more graphics the long story game play in games are gone now.....

I'm another one who doesn't play games as such on my computer, I use my Nintendo DS for that. I have a couple of games on here but very rarely play them and they are the hidden object type game, can't do with all these shoot em up or war games, there's enough of that action in the real world without playing it as well.:D

The only dx10 game i have been able to play on dx10 with my geforce 8500gt is Devil may cry 4,and i played it on max settings...

I totally agree Joan, i just can't get into those shooter games (just watch the news every evening) there's enough of that going on everyday. Links 2003 is the only game i play, i know it's really old but so am i:huh:

LOL, my graphics card is still DX9, and we are talking about DX12! And we are supposed to be the tech-ed up dudes!

I don't really see the point of such a big technology being released so soon after Direct X 11 (most games don't even support DirectX 11! ).

I hope it's in a few years ( around about four) because you got to give time to catch up to a slandered, alot of people are still on Direct X 9/10.
But I know at the rate technology is going it will probably be more likely released in two years.

The same was said about DX 10 lol. People said games will start to pick up on DX11.

Hope Dx12 will be a revolutionary change
like the iPhone was for phones

Well, I doubt it will be. If it is revolutionary for developers, then that is fine, but it probably won't become famous because of good code-ability. Also, I would image that the games would never be able to shine. I think that to an extent, the coding makes more difference than the library version. What we should hope for is mass adoption, like DirectX 9.0c.

DX12 won't bring any major changes, game makers have still not developed full DX11 games and very few are out atm

Nowadays many games are DX9 / DX11, like Lost Planet 2, for example... so it's possible that developers will start to code for DX11 / DX12 (ignoring Vista DX10), maybe in two years; but it's just a guess however !

:smoke:
