Solved Desktop IE 10

Anyone else having problems with the desktop version of IE 10 in Windows 8 CP? As poster earlier, facebook has issues when you try to post a comment. I am also finding that Hotmail is a problem too, I keep getting a yellow bar adjacent to "inbox" that tells me "We can't connect to Hotmail right now. Please try again later" and I am unable to open any of my emails because of it.

The strange thing is that everything works ok in the metro version of IE 10 however I have not worked out how to save passwords in that version.

Seems nobody else is having problems with the desktop version of IE10 other than m. Is there a way to uninstall and re-install it or start it in "safe mode"?

Found the culprit … it was Internet Download Manager. I uninstalled it and presto I can now comment in Facebook and my Hotmail loads properly. I love that program so I hope it updates to work in IE 10. In the meantime anyone know of a download manager that works in IE 10?

Free Download Manager causes the same problem … going to try flashget next.

If FlashGet also doesn't work, try Chrome or Firefox. I use Chrome and IDM and I don't get any problems.
