Yesterday I went to open up my desktop folder and it would crash after a couple of seconds. This happens all the time. If I open up any other folder like pictures, documents, video or music, they work fine. I ran Malwarebytes and Avast on the entire drive. Nothing was found. I also ran Avast just on the desktop folder. Again, nothing. I ended explorer process in task manager and restarted it. Even restarted the computer. Same thing. I ran a SFC /scannow and it said it fix some corrupt files but some could not be fixed. I have attached the log because I'm having a hard time figuring it out. Any help would be appreciated.

I followed your instructions. When I ran SFC again, it found no integrity violations. Unfortunately, the explorer window for desktop still keeps crashing. The weird thing is that, when I open the desktop window, it stays open if I don't do anything. The moment I try to scroll down or do anything else in that window, it crashes. I'm stumped.

Ok, I went through the process that you suggested another time and restarted before checking it and it seems to have fixed it. Not sure why it didn't work the first time. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it! I'll post again if the problem comes back.
