Solved dell tablet latitude 10 st 2 ( clean instal of win 8 pro)

hi there i have a dell tablet latitude 10 st 2 that i got from work longtime ago . i wanna format it and instal win 8 pro for personal usage . its been two months now that am trying to get it to work but no luck so far .no matter what i did the tablet doesnt recognize the usb .keep in mind that secure boot is desabled and that boot support under usb configuration is enabled .this is how i created the bootable usb , (diskpart , formated fat32 and i unziped a win 8 pro 32 bit iso in the usb ). when i reboot and hold volum + button i get access to the boot but the usb is not there . am i missing any step here ? plz help am starting to give up on this tablet :(

use diskpart as above, but also use > Active

create partition primary
format quick fs=Fat32 label="media"
active

yes i did all the above steps and still cant get the tablet to boot from the usb stick .i get to the boot menu but my usb is not there .thks for your help btw i really appreciate it

Option to Add USB as Boot Device in Bios setting ??
Usually have to add the usb as a boot option in the bios

so here is what happened , while i was trying to add the usb in the boot option , , i select it but instead it takes me inside the usb as if its looking for a file or somth . so am not sure which one should i pick , i did pick setup.exe but it didnt work when i rebooted the tablet and selected the usb

now when i use plug in the usb flash the screen stays black and nothing happens until i remove the usb then the tablet runs normaly , plz if anyone used to to have the same tablet , need your help with this one .

now i see the usb , but when i select it ,the screen goes black and a messasge on top left shows up / start pxe over ipv6 .then after a minute an messages appears / pxe-e18 server responce timeout

Sounds to me like your USB isn't set up as a bootable drive to me. Did you create it using the ISO with something like RUFUS?

Yes I did with rufus , but same thing .I spent an entire day on this but no luck . That's why am hoping to find someone who did a win 8 install in this tablet so I can know what I did wrong

If you are setting up X86 software you will select BOOTMGR from the USB file Menu

sorry for the late reply , i did actually pick bootmgr but still no luck , the windows starts the windows reparation tool XD so i ll try with a different usb and see how it goes , just to make sure that its not a usb issue

finaly i got it to work , it was the usb , i think if u use a 16 gb usb it doesnt work , so i switched to a 4gb usb and it booted smoothly .thks guys for being helpful
