I know this isn't actually a graphics card issue, but most people who have an n5110 and could only either disable the display adapter or hook up an external monitor thought it was a graphics card problem, so I have posted it here (this is the category I've been lurking in).

There is a BIOS update for the n5110 that should fix the problem! It has been many months of frustration and waiting and now it seems like we will finally be able to use out laptops at full resolution.

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but according to others it has.

There is also supposedly a BIOS update for the Vostro 3550 that fixes the same issue.

Good luck to all my fellow n5110 peeps!

I have a question. When my computer start, it also has about 2 minutes screen black. Then it suddenly goes to the desktop. How to solve this problem? Does anyone has same question? Thank you

im using a dell inspiron n5110 got it with windows 7 and i noticed that the wifi wasn't working.
so i went in device manager to make sure that all my drivers was installed correctly and to my surprise they was.
i went ahead and upgrade from seven to eight and still i have the same issue and also windows 8 seem to have the perfect driver for the device but wifi still doesn't work
