Hey guys

I'm Looking to create a dvd or USB that will allow me to install any version (allows me to pick when starting the install process) I have done it for Windows 7 but they have removed the file needed to do so on the Windows 8 DVD's. Has anyone done this or know what to do to make this possible?

please help

Thanks

Hi troyster84. Welcome to EightForums.

Look in the tutorial section in forums under installation. I would post a link, but I'm on my phone.

Hope that helps.

I cant seem to find anything in there but i will keep looking. I know from windows 7 you could edit one file a .cfg file and it would come up and ask what version you wish to install (be great to not have 3 usb flash drives to use when programing computers)

By adding a ei.cfg file in the source directory
you need not enter any key during the installation.
Type the following in the notes o save as ei.cfg
Windows 8 ISO contains the Windows 8 (core) and windows 8 Pro
(Windows 8 Enterprise is on its own ISO.)

^ that's not what the OP wants. he wants a single disk that will load any version of Windows 8, be it 32 or 64bit and whether it be standard, professional, enterprise, etc.

I'm not sure how to do it with Windows 8, but I have one for Windows 7. I'm doing some digging and will hopefully be able to come up with something because it's very convenient.

Looks like MS has changed the game. The one ISO that includes Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro requires a key at start of installation and that determines which of the versions gets installed. So the choice is determined by the key.

OK

(Windows AIO Maker) Win Toolkit is the new name for Windows 7 Toolkit as it also works for Windows 8.
