have been looking on the internet how one can:

delete some recovery files instead of all at once.

I really want to keep some files, but i do not find a way how to do this.

Any suggestion is welcome.

A specific restore point can't be deleted in isolation as subsequent ones only have changes.

You can delete them all, or all but the last, or reduce the amount of disk space allocated. The last option would probably be the best for you.

Solved on 8.1 - weird reason

Hi Guys,

I had same problem with the scheduled SRP creation. I fixed it by putting the script in my users directory.

This raises an issue I have had for some time and do not fully understand even after 54 years of messin with computers.

I am the administrator of my PC BUT my id is NOT admin. I know in *nix that the admin.admin (UID = 0 GID = 0) is the superuser but not sure how that works in win. IT APPEARS that even though I am the admin I can not run the script from the C:\Program Files directory.

What is it that I am missing?

If you are an administrator you are not the administrator. You would need to set that up - http://www.eightforums.com/tutorial...rator-account-enable-disable-windows-8-a.html but this is not recommended for general use and certain things (like store apps) will not work.

As an administrator you are able a adopt authority of the administrator though by running programs or processes with the authority of the administrator - (as if your user had been added to sudoers in *nix) like this http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9564-run-administrator-windows-8-a.html or this Elevated Program Shortcut - Create for Standard User - Windows 7 Help Forums

This caused no end of confusion to people used to XP where this separation didn't exist.

From task scheduler there is also an option to choose the user the task runs under (on the first page of create new task).

I tried to change the user account, but since I didn't know about setting up Administrator it didn't present any sensible choice. Is this documented anywhere that even a power user would easily find?

I found it (like most things) through the tutorials here TechNet is pretty good too but less easy to follow (I think) - for example Enable and Disable the Built-in Administrator Account
