Crash when waking Laptop From Sleep (NO BSOD)

I recently downgraded from windows 10 to windows 8 as my laptop hated to boot when windows 10 was installed. In windows 10 I could put my laptop to sleep and wake it up just fine. However, in windows 8.1, I can no longer do that. When I try to wake it up, it instantly shuts down. It tries to restart, but cannot. It lights up for a second or two then shuts off completely. I had originally posted this in a different section but got nowhere. Can you guys help?

Are you saying that, once you wake up the comp from sleep mode, it shuts down? or is it already shutted down before you wake it up?
If so, try going to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\ and click "choose what closing the lid does" that may be the culprit
If it shuts down when you wake it up, it could be one of the following reasons:
-Conflict
-Virus Infection
-Missing file
-Incorrect boot order
-Battery Problem
-System Error

As in when I put it into sleep, it is fine. When I attempt to wake it up it tries to boot up but crashes and turns off. It attempts to turn back on multiple times before being successful.
