I have a Sager Np9377 laptop running Windows 8.1 64bit. I am having an issue with Grand Theft Auto 5. I purchased the digital version through Steam. I can launch and play the game fine, but only a single time. If I try to play the game again, it just black-screens and says not responding. I can't play game again until I restart my computer/laptop. I have been talking to the game company Rockstar and they helped me all they could with the issue. They think the issue is that the game is not clearing/flushing the VRAM after exit, and because of that I can't relaunch game, or any other game for that matter. I then contacted Nvidia since my laptop has 2 Nvidia GTX 870Ms, and Nvidia has not been much help (they suggested updating my sBIOS?). Anyone experience this and/or know a fix? Thoughts/help appreciated :)

All your games on Steam ? Assuming have latest video card drivers ? All games say not responding what exactly shows on screen, small windows saying .exe file is not responding ? Did not think can play GTA 5 on steam, as it is a Rockstar social club client. Try contacting steam support ?

This 64bit Windows 8.1 ? CPU is just above minimum for game, not that this should affect any other games, unless same requirements as compared to GTA 5. Just a thought on this game.

Only GTA 5 doesn't work. All drivers and Steam Client are up to date. It says "not responding" in task manager.

seems like many people having same issue and other issues. Might be a patch fix, believe might be only through Rockstar Social Club, should be through Steam then also as they get updates too.

When you see it in Task manager what file does it show as not responding ,GTA exe ?

Remember NVIDIA made a driver update just for this game, right before the May 31st update
