I have to use Firefox 6 for the time being as IE10 utilises high CPU(60%-70%) and causes my temperature to rise. Has anyone noticed or had this issue?

I have found the immersive apps (or Metro Apps) often have high CPU usage.
In my case, particularly, it's the Weather app when I have it placed on the side:

It's for the regular desktop IE, FF takes up about 12% and the temps are normal for the usual tasks, when I browse with IE even idling temps are in the 50s.

I found Windows 8 DPC latency very high in-comparison to Windows 7 on the same machine, With this latency I'm surprised people can play games etc... I guess most machines are absorbing the extra work without much noticeable difference.
(DPC is basically the kernel-mode driver work queue, higher latency = slower software execution)

This morning the CPU usage has gone down to normal levels, I think it's a minor glitch in my system.
