Corruption found in disk CBS.log saved (sfc /scannow)

Hello KooKooMan, and welcome to Eight Forums.

I get an access denied for your CBS file download.

If you like, try going through the items listed in the blue note box at the bottom of OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to see if it may help.

OPTION THREE in the same tutorial will give you a sfcdetails.txt file that will only show the SFC results.

Hope this helps for now, :)
Shawn

Did you go through the items in the blue note box mentioned above?

Tip

If you get the Windows Resource Protection Could Not Start the Repair Service error when trying to run SFC, then make sure that the Windows Modules Installer service is enabled and set to Manual.

Services - Start, Stop, and Disable in Windows 8

If SFC is unable to repair corrupted system files because the store (source) is corrupted, then you could run the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to fix Windows component store corruption, then afterwards try running the SFC scan again.

{The above is From Brink's link.Do read the link please.}

Luckily, the only file found corrupted is just a help file for PowerShell.

If you don't mind and are not having any issues from it in PowerShell, then it's nothing to worry about it. :)

Don't really mind what it is but i just want to see what else sfc /scannow can do.
but i can't until i get it fixed. can you help with the fix?

You could type the command below in an elevated command prompt and press Enter to see all options available for SFC. SFC is basically just used to check for system file corruption, and to attempt to repair any if found.

SFC /?

Did you run SFC again after running the DISM command?

In that case, one way to fix it would be to refresh Windows. IMO, it's not worth doing that for just one corrupted help file that will make no difference.
