Solved copying files hit by power outage

i was copying files from usb to hard disk when my computer was hit by power outage

when light came back, the files were gone, ie the files were neither present on usb nor on hard disk

Try using some data recovery software. Here is one that I have heard good things about (although I have never used it myself): EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard - Best Data Recovery Software to Recover All Lost Data.

I suggest downloading this software to another computer if possible; or if that is not possible, download it to a different flash drive than the one that had the files. And when you run the install, install it to the same flash drive that you downloaded it to. My point is, the less activity you have on the two drives in question, the greater will be your chance of having success in recovering the files.
