Copying and Pasting Links

I copy a link from the adress bar of a site and then paste onto Word doc but nothing happens. I go back and hit copy and paste again and then it works?

Whats going on?

first thing that comes to mind is ,make sure you left click the document before you right click to paste ,that's assuming you are using a mouse

yes its highlighted - no, somethings wrong as it used to work...

that was a long shot on my part .so it use to work.

most of us use 2 or more browsers ,so I will ask this in case you do, is it same with all browsers, also does it happen if you copy/ past from the main text of webpages to the document.

Create another Windows user account and see if you can do it in the new account. If so, it could be malware.

You can also open an elevated command prompt, then type: sfc /scannow

Perhaps a System Restore is in order if neither of those work.

Did you try CTL+V in lieu of Paste.

it pastes in other formats like in Note pad and other search engines, google, mailchimp newsletters. etc.....

I dont think its the search engine but word settings maybe?
