Solved copy speed of different USB devices

when i insert USB devices in my laptop, the copy speed varies between different usb devices ie ranges from 3MB/s to 30MB/s

what is the reason for copy speed variance between these devices

my usb port is 2.0 specification

There is a lot of difference in the price and quality of lower "budget" priced USB drives and the most expensive ones. Normally the more you pay, the faster the drive speed. When shopping it's often hard to compare, since speed isn't usually mentioned and when it is, it's posted as "up to".

Copying a large number of smaller files will also be slower than copying one larger file.
