Copy files causes 100% CPU usage

Hi,
I have a strange issue...
I have a new computer and I was copying some files from an external HDD to an internal one (not the on on which is Windows 11).
I noticed that the copy process causes CPU clock to go to maximum and the Task Manager Performance tab shows that CPU is at 100% utilization. Simultaneously the Details tab shows 99% System Idle Process.
WHY?!?

Just do what you want to do, and ignore all that background stuff. The OS knows what it's doing.....believe it.
It might help though, if you're going to do something as CPU intense as copying one drive to another, shut down every other program that you don't absolutely NEED to have running. An Intel CPU will have to work a lot harder than an AMD CPU, by the way.
Cheers Mate!
