I must have clicked on something  I used to have a "Playto" in the context menu when right clicking on a video, for some reason it is now missing, Anyone any ideas how to get it back.

try this, can't say it will work

Go to "Control Panel" under heading "Network and internet" click on "view network status and tasks"

On the left side click on "change advanced sharing settings" scroll down to "All Networks" look for "Choose media streaming options" see if enabled. See if "turn on media streaming" is on.

maybe reboot

All devices are ticked as allowed.

Did reboot but still no playto in the menu it is weird it was there, I used it last night for a few minutes

It's weird. Unless there was an automatic update of some kind of media software (or win update) I couldn't for the life of me begin to suggest how something just "isn't there" anymore, especially after a few hours.
You have checked settings in your desired players to see if the option to add to context is there? Or had a look at the "Default Programs" settings?

I'm just reaching here tacit.

I just tested this function. The "Play To" option only appears when an external DLNA renderer is present (functioning) on the network. It disappears when that device is turned of.

My 55" Panasonic TV is DLNA compliant
There are 6 remote devices found and ticked as "permit"
The MAC address of the Desktop is the first one on the list.

Just for s&giggles I figured I would try an MP3, low and behold Playto appears and allows me to play MP3's on both the WDTVlive which feeds the TV which in turn feeds my surround sound unit and the Viera TV.

I figured it out I think..... I was trying to Playto with MKV's which was no go when I clicked on MP4 playto appeared and worked fine.

My live plays MKV.

I wonder is it a blocked media
