Did you use the tutorial below? Changing the color of window borders and taskbar color is exactly what it's for.

Could you post screenshots of what you are seeing instead if it's not the same for you? We'll see if we can figure out what's going on then.

What I want is my taskbar different from the top color.

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, it's an universal setting applied to both. I'm not aware of any way for them to have separate colors.

Is there a way to get that advance setting like windows 7 from somewhere, like download or something? Colors are so ugly. Also, I'm trying to find a microsoft complaint email and can't find it.

Unfortunately, the Advanced Appearance Settings like in Windows 7 have been removed in Windows 8 and replaced with the stripped down version below.

Well whoever made windows 8 made a booboo.

I agree. It needs more customization features. Hopefully when the "Windows Blue" update for Windows 8 comes out later it will add more.
