color appearance

The first color with the color fan in it is for "Automatic" color, and you will not get the color intensity or mixer settings with it. You'll need to select another color to have them instead.

If you meant the advanced Window Color and Appearance settings like below in Windows 7,....

....then that has been replaced with this below in Windows 8 now.

You mean I can't do this? Although I can't find it.

You can do what's in your screenshot, but only with a high contrast theme.

It's not available for any other type of theme in Windows 8. :(

So I have to live with the default colro?

Also how to make the start menu text like windows 7?

Just to make sure we are on the same page, could you post a screenshot showing what you want to change the color of?

Could you also clarify about the Start Menu text? Do you mean the Start Menu itself?

For the power button, I like using the desktop context menu from the tutorial below for this.

To have Windows 8 display in a different language, the tutorial below will help show you how to. It's a universal setting, so it will be everything in Windows 8 and not just the Start Menu.

You might also check your "Region" settings like in the tutorial below to make sure they are set to the language you want as well.

As for the text size in your Start Menu, check the settings in whatever program you used to add it to see if there may be an option to change the text size.

Thanks anyways. I have tried those on the language changing the start charm or whatever stilll different language. On the start menu text no luck on those.

Blink,
I found that high track theme and color and appearance, but it is very different from other window versions.

The only thing I'm not happy with windows 8 is that I'm using firefox and when I highlight the url bar is blue. Mine was yellow. The top of the firefox and navigation bar is ugly red. Mine was gray or aqua. Wish I could do the same color like that.

Still no advance setting color and appearance
On windows 7 color and appearance when I change the color to gray or aqua the url highlights that color.

Only window borders and taskbar color changes to what you select in "Color and Appearance".
