Solved Chrome unable to open a specific website

hi
i am a diehard chrome user and uses IE only if some website is giving me trouble. yesterday when i try to login to yahoo mail website, it said

"This site couldnt be reached. mail.yahoo.com server DNS address couldnt be find"

the yahoo mail website opened in IE without any problem at the same time

chrome was able to open other websites like fb.com, eightforums.com etc without any problem at the same time
