Solved Change the email address of Windows 8.1 account

When I installed Windows 8.1 I miss typed the email account name, I typed name.man.co which dose not exist instead of name.msn.com.

Is the any way of change the email?

Yes you can in the setting > account

you can change your email there

I followed the instructions on the link that you gave.

I came to a section that said some thing along the lines of "call us over protective but we need to verify you" telling me to either to ask it to send a verification to the name.man account which does not exist or create an alias.

I tried to create an alias , I have an name.msn, and name.Hotmail.com and a name.ntlworld email accounts but it would not accept them.

I am confused.

Usually an @outlook.com address works best.

If you like, you could also close this Microsoft account, and create a new one to use instead.

Afterwards, switch the account on your PC to a local account, then switch to the new Microsoft account.

I created a name.outlook.com account as you suggested which it accepted OK.

Do I need to remove the name.man account?

You can remove the old one if you like, but you'll at least need to switch the account on your PC like above to toggle it to use the new MS account.
