Solved Change PDF back to an eps file

Hi,

I had an eps file which I wanted to view (I don't have the supporting program for this type of file) so I right clicked and opened with Adobe Acrobat and now all my eps files have changed to Adobe Acrobat (pdf's) files! - the default programme for opening these files has changed, I cant seem to change this/open with as I don't have the supported programme to select in the first place.

How do I change them back? and stop this happening to further eps files I hold? I can see on my outlook emails coming through that the eps files are showing as pdf's.

Any help would be much appreciated, I cant seem to find a way around this.

Just use Gimp to open them. Go into Default programs and re-associate the files to Adobe Illustrator. You can also use Adobe's Creative Cloud for those files.

I don't have Adobe Illustrator so cant re-associate the file. I try to download a trial version to do this.

Thanks for your help, I downloaded a trial on Adobe Illustrator and then changed the default programme and hey presto they all changed back!

Gimp will also let you Export the file back to what you want.
