Good day to all.
So, one day, I found out that I could not print from Adobe Reader, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, et cetera. Thinking that it could be because of my printer, I uninstalled it (based on the suggested solutions on some forums I have visited). I have a Canon PIXMA E400.
I tried to reinstall the driver, but nothing happened. As in, nothing. No dialog box appeared or any indication that the installation process was in progress.
So, I stopped the Print Spooler. I was shocked when the setup menu or installation wizard or whatever you call it appeared. I proceeded to the installation process until another problem happened---the process got stuck at 0% progress.
I waited and waited and waited but it did not move. I left my laptop on overnight to see if there would be progress, but there was none.
Out of frustration, I started the Print Spooler again---and a dialog box appeared saying that the installation was successful. When I checked, the printer was not installed. There were no signs of it (folders, icons, etc.). It was not also shown in the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
In other words, this happened to me:
This stresses me out. I hope you could help me. I print a lot of stuff; I am a student.
Thank you so much,
Ralph

In other words, this happened to me:
- Print Spooler is started: Driver would not install, but as I checked the Task Manager, the driver is said to be running in the background. However, I waited for hours if there would be results, but just like the stuck 0% progress above, nothing happened.
- Print Spooler is stopped: Setup menu for the installation would show up, but the installation process would get stuck.
This stresses me out. I hope you could help me. I print a lot of stuff; I am a student.
Thank you so much,
Ralph
