So this has been a long chain of problems starting from when I couldn't install a Wacom Intuos into my laptop because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-0.dll is missing. Tried to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 (x86), but it returns the error 0x80240017 (failed to execute MSU package). I haven't installed C++ 2017, and C++ 2015 showed up in my programs list but the missing .dll error still appears.
I followed some instructions online that said to install KB2999226 from command prompt, but I searched the directory for a manual install and said that KB2999226(x64) is not applicable. I think it's because my laptop is running Windows 8.1 32-bit. I've tried sfc /scannow and it said the corruption's fixed but the error STILL persists.
Is there any similar update for 32-bit? Is there anything I can do to properly install C++ 2015? Any help would be appreciated, because this error's been keeping me up for ages and I can't install other softwares I need like Adobe Illustrator. Thanks in advance.
