So running an HP Envy 700-214 PC with the Win8 Pro upgrade added. I can't seem to find any reference for WMP in my list of installed programs however if I insert a CD and hit play the Now Playing window pops up and I can switch to My Libraries where WMP is visible. I'm confused.....

How do I add WMP to my list of All Programs under the start button?

TIA

Okay so I got this sorted out--DOH! :) Simply had to pin it to the start menu!

Thanks for looking in anyway.

Well I inserted a store-bought CD into the drive and when it opened I right clicked on the tab that appears in the task bar (bottom of the screen). A pop up dialog box opens, select "pin this program to the task bar" and that should do it.

Previously WMP didn't appear in my start list but now it does.

I hope this helps!

The easiest way is to click Start and just type WMP. Then you can right-click on it to pin it to Start.

I tried that previously and just now but as I'm using Classic Shell it still doesn't appear as I thought it should. Now when I do this ^^^^ the search shows a File labled WMP which does indeed have provisions to pin the program to the start menu.

Interesting there were no replies to the original inquiry I made several days ago............ :)
