Can't enable Secure boot

Hi I can't seem to get Secure Boot enabled on my laptop, the secure boot option is greyed out and I can't change it to enabled, my computer came with windows 8 on it automatically so I thought it would've been enabled by default.

Nope, I checked to see if it was enabled and it says "Off" and I tried the steps on that Link and can't seem to get it enabled

Thanks, but it just won't let me enable it the secure boot box, is grayed out and non-changeable for some reason
