I am running 8.1 64 bit on my Samsung ATIV Book 9 plus laptop and am having issues loading some HTTPS sites. Wierdly, Facebook is also not loading CSS at all. I have been trying to solve this on my own for a couple of weeks at least but I think it's gotten the better of me now. I am getting the same issue no matter what browser I use and I'm not having the issues on other laptops/devices on this wifi. I have Malwarebytes, PeerBlock and Spybot Search & Destroy installed. I have not uninstalled them yet, however stopped them from running when windows starts.

I have tried what many of the Google searches have prescribed with switching around the SSL 3.0 and 2.0 as well as TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2. I tried this command: netsh winsock reset. I call Microsoft's support line and they couldn't do much, we discussed their support package and I wouldn't accept it until they confirmed they could remote into my machine, they couldn't so that too was a no go. My apologies if I have missed a previous post.

Why would you reset the Winsock, along other settings that have nothing to do with the issue. If you are using the browser from the Metro/Start screen, it is a known issue that certain web pages will not load properly. Desktop mode will work fine, as long as you keep the computer up to date.

I was Googled my issue and those were suggestions that worked for some users, even resetting the time weirdly enough.

I uninstalled everything that was installed in the last month and it's working now. I don't know what caused it though as I didn't have the time to uninstall 1 at a time.

Never trust always getting correct information from search engines. People pay to have their site listed at the top. Especially on google.

If you keep reinstalling the OS, there is no way anyone can answer your questions.
