Can't boot into Windows 8.

I have a pc that runs Windows 7 Pro x64.I followed the directions on this forum for a dual boot system placing Windows 8 on its own hard drive. I set Windows 7 as the default OS.
This was all good until I tried to boot into Windows 8. I'm not given the option to do so and don't have the knowledge to fix this problem.
Any help will be appreciated.

Deleted the partition that had Windows 8 in it. Did a clean install on a different partition.
Followed instructions carefully. At no time was I given any choices for a dual boot set up.
Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks.

Can you select drive that 8 is on by pushing a select boot key at the restart? F-12 or F-10 or whatever works for your computer then select the drive that 8 is on?

MYZR, Will work on that tonight or tomorrow.
What I want to do is learn why I'm not given the dual boot option when installing the OS.
Thanks.Hugger

I've tried it both ways. I wonder if for some reason I need to reset the BIOS?
Motherboard is a Gigabyte EP45-UD3 with an Intel E8400 cpu.
The only security app that I use that could possibly cause a problem is MS's EMET.
