Hi naman4797 and welcome to Eightforums!

I understand you have a problem with your Windows 8 copy. It seems that you can't access the pc settings.

Unfortunately the informatie you've given in your first post is a little meagre. Can you describe in more details what you wanted to do, what you've tried, what the error messages say (if any). Also I would like know if you use the offline or cloudbased profile.
And do you use Windows 8 on a desktop/ laptop/ tablet?

Greetz!

Well, you have to activate it...

If you have the code, and tried activating it with it but it doesn't work, you can try getting a permanent activator.

I don't think they're legal, but as long as you have proof of purchase or the code for your windows version, you should be OK...

But before you try any of this, email Microsoft about it, chances are you got the activation code in your email.

I don't recommend using the permanent activator unless you can prove that you have a legal code from Microsoft.

The TS said that he/she had activated Windows. So I think we must assume that the activation was succesful. Don't you agree?

There are a few cases I've read and ran into where the customization wasn't unlocked even after activation...

A permanent activator unlocks all of the features.

It's usually used for illegal purposes, but it unlocks everything so that might help the TS...

As long as he doesn't use it to activate an Illegal version, he should be good.
