cannot refresh my windows 8

i cannot refresh my windows 8. it says 'there was a problem refreshing your PC. Nochange were made'

i have try with :

[FONT=&quot]Use the CD command and change the directory to [/FONT]\Windows\System32\config[FONT=&quot] folder
[/FONT][FONT=&quot]then ren[/FONT][FONT=&quot] system system.001
then [/FONT][FONT=&quot]ren software software.001

the replies is the process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process[/FONT]

Download the appropriate ISO and place it on Your desktop. Mount it and run setup as Admin to "upgrade to the same OS" keeping what You want.

i can't access desktop, how do i place the appropriate ISO in the desktop?
how about my data if i upgrade the OS?

You didn't mention that You aren't able to boot into Windows.

Its hard then. The only option that you have is making a bootable USB and place the image there. Using Rufus is one of the easiest way.

what if i have the disc recovery? actually i have that. but i dont know how to use that

Nope, the disk recovery is only contain the driver for your laptop.
