Solved Cannot install Itunes 64bit on windows 8.

Hi.


I have windows 8 pro. Trying to install Itunes 11.01 64bit for win8.
Keep getting message “This app can't run on your computer”.
Did a Google search on this problem and tried running as an Administrator, and changing compatibility to windows 7, but still get the same message.
A suggestion online was made to save file before u download, but no prompt comes up to save,


Any ideas.

Try 11.02 iTunes 11.0.2 for Windows 64

Do you need to install 11.01?

Consider yourself lucky... I have successfully installed iTunes 64 bit on Windows 8 Pro. I downloaded it then ran it as an administrator. What browser are you downloading it with? I used Firefox and had the option to save the file.

Had the same problem then used install as "Administrator." Now it works just fine. . . Good Luck

I am using Google Chrome.
Don't need 11.1. will try 11.02.
If that doesn't work will install Firefox and try with that browser.

Hey guys.

Finally got Itunes to Install.
However I did have to use Firefox as my browser to install Itunes.
I.E and Chrome downloaded Itunes setup w/o prompting if I wanted to save Itunes. Then the installation would not start.
Also I did as suggested run as an Admin which I'm sure helped also.

I will try it. I tried but still can't. And shows iTunes Error 7. At last I fix "Apple application support" to solve can't install iTunes problem.
