Basic question. I installed windows 2012 server R2 64 bit in Virtual box on my windows 8.1 pro PC. I cannot see anything on my network from the server. I have drag and drop both set to bidirectional yet I cannot move anything from my main OS to the server 2012 that is runnnig on Virtual box. the server is connected to the network and I have internet. Why can I not access my network items? Sharing is enabled as well

Also, on drive that is dedicated to the server's permissions are also properly set to share. I cannot ping my computer name from the server, obviously I can ping by IP. Also, I have JUST installed server 2012. It is bare bones but does have internet and installed successfully. Not sure if that is inportant info.

In the virtual machine network settings be sure that the network adapter is set to "Bridged Adapter". This is not the default setting.
