Can my Windows 8 Pro System Builder be installed on multiple computers

I am retired and live only on social security. I have a computer, my wife has one and we also have a laptop. We cannot afford to upgrade all 3 computers separately. As soon as xp is no longer updated, I will follow my brother's lead and buy just 1 apple.

Well Windows 8 was 40 for each copy a while back. That's much cheaper than getting an Apple. Seems I don't follow your logic.

For way less than an Apple (unless used maybe), you could buy three of these: System Builder 64 bit (same price for 32 bit). You would install under the personal-use license. This license allows:

1. Installation on one owned machine at a time (which always is the case for Win 8 unless one buys multiple licenses);
2. Installation on as many owned machines as desired--one machine at a time.
3. Reinstall on one owned machine as many times as desired due to hardware changes--no matter what kind of hardware changes.
4. Transfer to another if subsequent use if foregone.
