Solved BSOD when using Uni. Internet with USB Wifi

Dear Windows 8 Forum Members,

Recently, I started to have BSODs while connecting to the internet at the university. I am using ASUS-N53 USB wi-fi to connect internet - and I already updated latest drivers from the MediaTEK's website. BSODs still persisted, only changing from BAD_POOL_HEADER to BAD_POOL_CALLER. I read other posts in the forum, and thought it could be MBAM Full version may be the problem (I have also McAfee, as you will see in the dump). Still crashes persist.

I would be grateful for your help, thank you very much in advance!

Hi hakozalp & Welcome to the forums ^_^,

I am extremely sorry for the delayed response :( . There are very few BSOD analysts. Do you still need help with your problem? If yes, then kindly reply back to this topic and I would reply within 48 hours. Also, I would be notified via email once you post.

Hi Pranav,

Thanks for replying and asking about updates! So, although I am curious about the source of the problem, let's say it is solved as I switched my usb wi-fi stick and there are no more BSOD's. My idea is that even the latest MediaTEK driver was simply not enough compatible or something similar...
