I removed the drivers in safe mode, and re-installed them using the installer provided by HP, and the BSOD happened again. There are again two GPUs in Device Manager, AMD Radeon HD 7670M and AMD Radeon HD 7660G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics, so the installation was successful.

Disable the GPU in device manager, see if that makes a difference with stability.

That's one of the first thing I've given a try on - I disabled the GPU there, and it worked but then Windows detected the device again and the BSOD occured again. Did you mean that, or something else?

That sounds like you tried to uninstall it.

Windows cannot detect a device that is already detected yet disabled. It is impossible for windows to use a disabled device.

Oh yeah, might be that. I'll give disabling a try - it's the Dual Graphics one I need to be disabling?

Either of them, it doesn't really matter which one a.t.m.

I disabled AMD Radeon HD 7660G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics using safe mode (as normal mode won't work). Now I have a yellow exclamation mark next to the Radeon HD 7670M, and Windows recognizes my GPU as "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter". What should I attempt now?

EDIT: Also tried disabling the HD 7670M, and enabling the Dual Graphics only - Dual Graphics has no exclamation mark (just the green icon with a PC representing a GPU), and GPU's still recognized as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

EDIT2: Again, I tried enabling only the HD 7670M and this time it didn't have the exclamation mark. However, it was still a Basic Display Adapter and I went ahead and tried enabling them both at a time - boom - a BSOD happened.

Sounds like an issue with switching from dGPU to iGPU. This is not a solution, but it gets rid of the BSOD.

Are there any possible solutions for this problem, or is it a problem with the hardware? I'd preferably use the dedicated GPU instead of integrates (as you may expect).

Oops, forgot to post the method

In device manager, disable the iGPU and see how it goes with stability and performance.

No worries!
Which option in Device Manager is that? On graphics cards there are just the two ones I mentioned before, and enabling either one of them just makes Windows recognize it as basic display adapted (but I didn't restart the PC after that, though, if that affects it). Enabling both of them at a time causes BSOD.

Hey, I tried doing that and there are no crashes or BSOD, but it's still Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. Could it just be a hardware failure, or do you have more things to give a try on?
