Solved BSOD Driver Power State Failure

I recently got a BSOD before this BSOD
the BSOD happened yesterday was kernel_data_input_error and I think I have fixed it? but the computer is still a little slow, and I noticed my Disk usage is most of the time at 100% then the apps(Browsers,task managers etc2) doesn't respond and now This BSOD Driver Power State Failure happened. I read that it's about an incompatible driver, but I don't know how to detect an incompatible driver because I refreshed windows 8.

Now I got the Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS__OR_EQUAL

Edit: Got a BSOD again it's Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal again and it said tcpip.sys

I think this is about uTorrent.. Whene I open uTorrent and a few minutes later im getting a BSOD
I already fixed the 100% Disk usage on uTorrent but I ddnt know why I got the driver irql not less or equal tcpip.sys
Im using uTorrent to download PSO2(Phantasy Star Online 2) so it's legal the torrent came from their website

Only 37 WindowsUpdates installed. Most systems have 160 or more. Please visit Windows Updateand get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Both your dumpfiles points to networkrelated bsods, probably caused by tcpip.sys and vwifibus.sys.
This indicates that your network related drivers (LAN/WIFI/BLuetooth etc) are outdated.

Please upload to the latest windows 8. drivers from your Lenovo model page from here Drivers and software - IdeaPad Z400 Touch Notebook.

Advice; update also all the other drivers to the latest windows 8 from this page.

Hi Stanley001 and welcome to the forums ^_^,

I have analyzed your dump files and in the first one the blamed one is - "vwifibus.sys" which dates in the year 2012.

In the second dump file, the driver blamed is :- "tcpip.sys" which also dates in the year 2012

both are Network related drivers which are provided with Windows and can be updated only using the Windows Update. I see that most of your Windows related drivers are old and need to be updated. Could you please run the Windows Update and fetch them all? It might take multiple trips to fetch all the available updates from the Windows Update.

Furthermore, there are two modules loaded which specify two Antiviruses running on the system of yours. One is the "AVG" while the other one is the MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.

Most likely, both are interfering and scanning the connections which are made by utorrent during downloading. When the clash occurs, you are experiencing a BSOD. Below are given the utilities to clean the Antiviruses :-

AVG (64bit) := http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x64_2014_4116.exe
MalwareBytes := https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=122284

Follow the instructions carefully.

This should resolve the problem most likely, in case it is still not resolved, I would be glad to help you out further. ^_^

Did you uninstalled from the Add/Remove from the Control Panel or used the tools to remove them? If you did not use the tools, I would suggest on using them as they completely erase the trace of them from the system.

So after removal of the two AV's, are you still getting BSOD's?

I uninstalled them from Add/Remove from the control panel then used this tool..

I only removed avg not both. I thought I have removed both
Should I just use the Add/remove or use the tool?

Edit: Ok i have followed the steps for mbam and my question is I have Windows defender disabled should I enable it? because I have notifications at Action Center

Please uninstall MBAM till we are troubleshooting and turn on the Windows Defender and see if you are still getting any BSOD's or not.

You are not able to update is also a problem. But let's first see if the original problem is resolved or not. Then we could proceed further ^_^.

I have an AlienWare laptop that is now just constantly restarting then it has a blue screen that pops up with the Driver_Power_State_Failure. I know its because it became unplugged while on and the battery drained, but now its plugged in, how do I fix it? Im going to school for photography and have a big project due today. Thank you

So, your original issue for the BSOD seems to be solved. Try reading and applying the following guide please :-

How To Use SFC Scannow to Repair Windows System Files

If you have an installation media then please use that, goto Advanced Options while booting and use the command for SFC Scannow in the command prompt.

Let me know the output of that ^_^.

I completed this yesterday and it said Windows Service Protection or something like that
Did not find integrity violations.. Should I try updating windows now?

It may take some time before it really starts moving (happens with me as well) . If you are still stuck, then I could provide you with some alternate but legit ways of installing the Windows Updates.
