When I first installed my ssd into my acer, laptop booted in 30 sec now 1 to 2 min.
I have 19 gb free of 100gb.

Uninstalled avast free antivirus and run ccleaner and malewarebyte and glary utilities regularly.

I have only Icloud, , Advanced System Care 8.o pro in startup and print icon, also iobit game booster.

I don't to know where to find run and runonce in regedit. :(

TIA

30 seconds is slow for a SSD. 2 minutes is very slow.

You need to be looking at start-up programs (as you know as you were thinking about run and runonce in the registry).

The easiest way is to download autoruns and you can see everything. Download, unzip and right click to run as administrator. Then pick the "Logon" tab as below and see what you have. You can then either untick or uninstall but post a picture of what you have if you are not too sure...

Honestly unless you really know you need it, uninstall it. You don't need glary, advanced system care, iobit or any other utilities - they will just make things worse. Keep Malwarebytes and (if you must Ccleaner) only.

In the Run command, open up msconfig and set for diagnostic startup. Also see what it does when you go to Safe mode? What is the model & manufacturer of of the SSD?

i have a samsung evo 850 120 gig and from the time i hit reboot till i first see my wallpaper is almost twice as long, but once i see my wall paper everything that normally starts loading at that point loads in easily a quarter of the time it did on the 10,000 rpm hdd i had as c. i've checked my alignment after seeing something about it elsewhere and got told it was already aligned. might want to make sure that in your bios you chose achi mode for your driver(needs to be selected before installing windows).

adamf 30 sec is not slow with that cpu he is running. i have a core2duo e8400 and boot typically takes a good while, once i see the user screen things start loading like a bat out of hell.

i just noticed that you said you have 19 gigs free of 100 you should have 111.6 to 111.8 gigs after formatting the drive not 100.

I have broken win 8.1 pro. I haven't broken my Acer laptop.

Can't seem to boot off dvd or os on ssd drive. I saw an error that said something abot cdload or something similer.

I have the lasptop ssd wired into my desktop and I can see all the files.
I wanted to show a screen shot of my c:\drive.to show me want I maybe missing.

I was thinking maybe I need to image this drive with at home todo.
