I had an issue where games I was playing were locking or limiting themselves at 30fps, looked around for solutions, and tried a few to no avail (they just had me changing settings in Nvidia control panel). After those didn't work, I decided to do a system restore from a point two days ago. After restoring, my computer would boot but hang on windows startup, I noticed that the error message on the bluescreen was "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA". I looked it up and poked around for a while, and after a couple hours I finally managed to get it to boot, but certain windows either won't open or refuse to run. Additionally, the programs and windows I do get to open take a long time to do so. I tried running chkdsk and it either closed itself or crashed. I'm worried my computer may be dying or infected.
