Yesterday I bought a year subscription to Best Removal (it removes programs). I turned my computer off last night and this morning tiles are missing from my start screen... mainly desktop icon. Then I have a strange bar on the bottom and I cannot open any Office programs including OUtlook. Good thing I use Gmail in outlook so I can still get my mail from the internet.

What is wrong and how do I fix it? I tried to uninstall Best Removal thinking it may be the problem but it is not listed in Programs and Features. I can't use Best Removal to remove itself.

I tried to restore AFTER I installed Best Removal and it failed. How do you boot to Start up Options? I'm no pro here.

Do you have a link to this Best Removal Tool? The only one by that name I can find is Best Removal Tool and I don't see where it costs money.

My fear is you were suckered into buying snake oil. If this program was free to download and run, then found a whole bunch of stuff that then required you to pay to remove it, it is a scam!!!! And may be malicious too. :(

I no longer have the link... I only save them for 1 day. :( I paid with Paypal and already put in for a resolution. I have no idea how I got the pay one. It may have popped up from my free one saying the trial was run out. I don't remember.

scancheck.jpg OK I did a search on app page for ALL APPS and it takes me to the store. I'll try the link that takes time when I'm done online for the night. Scan only took a few minutes and this was my result.

It says:

[h=2]Before you start to refresh or reset your PC[/h]In most cases, once you start to refresh or reset your PC, it’ll finish on its own. However, if Windows needs missing files, you’ll be asked to insert recovery media, which is typically on a DVD disc or thumb drive. If that happens, what you’ll need depends on your PC.
If your PC came with Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1, you’ll need the discs or thumb drive that came with your PC. Check the info that came with your PC to see if your PC manufacturer provided these discs or media. In some cases, you might have created them when you first set up your PC.
If you upgraded your PC to Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1 with a DVD, use that disc. If you don’t have Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1 media, contact Microsoft Support.

I don't think my computer came with any discs.
