Best FREE program or way to update all my drivers!

What is the best free program that can tell me which drivers aren't updated and where to update them, I am really bad at this.

It scans your system drivers, and tells which ones need updating, then gives you the option to install them or, download them from the providers web site. Nice tip from Tews BTW; however, my personal preference is to not chase the latest and greatest until I have a perceived need. For example, I have a 2010 laptop that still has all the original drivers from the manufacturer installed. The reason for my logic is quite simple. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I've seen driver updates go south too many times, and, this can happen most often when you are dealing with a proprietary rig and you are attempting a direct download from the hardware manufacturer. Now, I do understand there are exceptions to my logic. Especially when it comes to gamers where driver updates may be necessary to improve FPS performance for specific games but if you are just an average user like me, I see no need to chase the wind... only to run into a tornado. Good luck with your future driver updates.

I would NEVER trust software to do this for me, in all honesty. There's no substitute for finding the drivers yourself, as you are sure to use the proper and compatible ones. If it is your computer, you should know the included hardware. If it is one from an OEM, their website should make the job very easy.

I was happy with "Slimdrivers" program, it can also backup old drivers and makes a restore point before installing them.

But for my computers I chase them by manufacturers and install them after I check on different forums and make sure they do what they are supposed to do and what new stuff they bring.
Quite a few times I run into problems with newest drivers and had to go back a version or two. The way computer technology is going any component older than a year or so, will not benefit of newest drivers because, first, if they did not get it right by then, they never will and second, most of them just ad to them for newest components and drivers for older ones stay the same.
