Hello, my friend got a new Asus Transformer T100 with Windows 8.1. The device was fine. We set up the Microsoft account and updated all the drivers, the firmware, Windows updates, as well as Windows Store app updates.
But now the battery indicator is missing! It's not even on the pop-out when you pull up the charms bar.
I googled about how people were uninstalling Microsoft AC Adapter and then scanning for new hardware to reinstall but this didn't solve the problem for me. It just reinstalled Microsoft AC Adapter. There is nothing else under the Batteries category in the Device manager.
I also went to the Notifications Area Icons and under power, it says "show icon and notifications". I toggled all the choices to "reset" and update to the system that I want the power to be shown. I
