Solved AVG Internet Security blocking software install

When I try to install Campaign Cartographer 3 on my Win 8.1 laptop it checks with the company that wrote the software to check on my serial number.

An 'okay' comes back from their server, but it is blocked by AVG. It shows up in the Firewall log as 'FilterDevice blocked'.

I have tried reaching out to AVG, but my home version evidently isn't allowed to log into their forums.

I tried 'allow all' in the firewall, but that didn't work either,

Is there anyway I can fix this ?

Thanks !

I tried that, and didn't fix it. However, I took the old references out of the registry, installing fine.

But AVG is also blocking my netbit flex from uploading my walking steps. I have a tech request in for fitbit for that.

Well, Fitbit says check with AVG Internet Security and AVG says call them for $79 for one device. No way.

My flex isn't syncing. I checked my AVG Internet Security software, and it looks like that is blocking my sync attempts.

It shows the time and date I started syncing, then 'SYSTEM' outgoing blocked or 'FilterDevice' Incoming and Blocked.

I do have 'allow' on the executables, but there are the two above items which are still blocked.

How do I fix my AVG firewall to allow my Flex to Sync ?

Thanks !

I did try to log into AVG's forums, but got redirected to the FAQ files. They don't have the answer.
