Solved Asphalt 8 FREEZES!

When I play game (FYI I have only played asphalt 8: airborne downloaded from windows store), graphics freezes. I'm not able to do anything within the game or its controls except I can close it. And I have to open the app again to play it. It has happened 4-5 times in the past.Bought this laptop 2 months back. It occurs with and without Microsoft Xbox 360 game controller for PC connected. No other issues with other system performance till now.

Any advice on how to resolve this problem?

My system specs:
HP pavilion 15-n209tx Notebook PC

1tb HDD

4gb+4gb(upgraded)=8gb dual channel ddr3 @798MHz Hynix RAM

Windows 8.1 update 1 SL 64-bit

Intel core i5 4200u @1.6GHz stock speed (not overclocked)
2 cores 4 threads , hyperthreading enabled
Haswell ULT 22nm technology

Intel HD graphics 4400
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M(dedicated)

Reverted back to factory drivers of Intel & NVidia graphics & since then no freezing or lags felt
So in fact, I cant install any other drivers than factory given ones till new drivers with solution to this is released ,

Yep.

I had to roll back a video driver last year.
I then waited until a new updated driver was released.
I installed it & had no problems.

Yea David,
switchable graphics are very strict w.r.to driver updates IMO,
they are notorious to fail if non-compatible ones are put - it was a tiresome & bitter experience going behind finding the cause if you're a noob to these kind of things

I use DriverMax.
It tells me after installing a driver if it is compatible or not & lets the old driver be reinstalled.

I'm not very bright when it comes to drivers, hence a program to do things for me.

Ok, that's a great software then, I'll try it ..
But how does it find compatibility - my curiosity

Cos, the latest drivers are downloaded from the product driver site & they are said compatible in there - i assume manufacturer has put it in there after testing in my model , isn't it.

The free version is limited to 2 driver downloads per day.

I don't know how it knows a driver is not compatible.

That's why I bought it.
It does the work for me.
