Solved ask: can not turn on Location in windows 8 privacy option

i have difficulty to turn on Location because this option in grey (can not drag to on)

can somebody help me to turn on this option?

i know how to find the privacy option in windows 8.1 but i can not change it to ON because the option always GREY, can not drag it

Hello Mashebro, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Double check using OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to make sure that you have the Turn on the Windows Location platform box checked.

Afterwards, see if you are able to turn on Location.

i am able to enable location function in Maps Apps now.

another question in the Privacy - Location, in below Let these apps use my location i have 6 apps,
this mean only 6 apps will use location function, am i right?

i don't want somehow other apps use Location function without my knowledge

You're most welcome.

The listed apps are the ones that have installed that are able to use location. No worries though, any app that uses location has it turned off by default. Location for an app doesn't get turned on until either you turn it on, or it asks you if the app can use your location when you open it the first time.
