Hi there
are animated avatars allowed on the forums -- I've tried making one --it works fine on my local PC but it doesn't "Animate" when uploaded to the forum. Small .GIF file with 3 layers so shouldn't take resources .

Cheers

Hi Jimbo,

Yes, they are allowed on the Forums (at least, they are with Vista and Windows 7). Here, they might be in the future, but not as yet as the permitted file size is too small at just 80 x 80 pixels and 19.5KB.

Can you upload it as a normal attachment? I think that the problem might lie with the 19.5KB file size limit.

They are allowed but make sure the image size is 100x100 or less.

Guy, I forgot to change the Mods avatar settings from the defaults, you should be able to use full 100x100's now.
