I have the Samsung Note 3 from US Cellular sitting here waiting for the Android 4.4.4 update. Anyone else waiting for the update? And was wondering what new features it will bring to the older galaxy devices being that Samsung S5 is already out and the Note 4 right around the corner. :geek:

We in Australia are still stuck on 4.3 mate! I am using a S4.

Wow they are really dragging on updates this year. They are still pushing out 4.4.2 update! What sucks is that 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 updates are already out and Android version L is fixing to come out. My S4 has already had 3 4.4.2 updates. Hope you get upgraded soon. Good place to look is a website called Sammobile you can go there and check on your firmware for your phone.

I have a Lumia 635 sticking with windows phones, BUT staying with android, On tablets :D

I love both Windows and Android. I love my Note 3 and all its features but really want a Windows phone. Only down fall with Samsung is it's time to push Android updates to all they're phones which can take a while. Only if there was a way to install Windows OS on a native Android phone it would be awesome but I don't wanna brink my phone trying to do it. I really think the Android system is great but it's to fragmented and there's always some sort of bug to work out on battery draining.

I can use the UK version of 4.4.2, but I just wish Australia would pull their finger out and release a local version. That was the main reason I voided my warranty and install a custom rom called Echoe Rom v29.

I did that with my S4 too installed 4.4.4 custom rom which works a whole lot better than the touchwiz Samsung puts on they're phones just straight android but still notice somewhat a battery drain that annoys me.

With battery drain have you tried a different kernel?

I went thru 3 different Rom's and the last one I found was more stable than the others so I'm happy with the Rom I have now. The last one I had messed up the ability to connect to my AP. Here lately I have been messing with a GS3 putting different Rom's on that one to find one stable but gs3 be as old as it is I might just set that one back to stock and sell it.

Oh and U.S Cellular is just as slow as your carrier when releasing Android update's and they don't say anything about it til they release it.
